In addition to technical skills, Instructional Designers who are dealing with projects would need additional competencies to make sure that the project will meet its objectives considering the boundaries of allocated resources. I have found that those techniques and skills are not only amazingly useful but also sometimes vital in Instructional Design related projects, so I have decided to summarise some of the most useful ones!
The solution for this problem, and also other similar scope-related issues like overlooking a serious requirement is a technique that is called "Requirements Management" which simply includes activities that detect, list and control the requirements in a way that no unapproved requirements are added to the scope of the project, and even if a new update is approved all of its affects on other requirements are considered.
